Serving Maynard since 1992 The purpose of the Maynard Food Pantry is to provide food assistance to any individual or family in need. The Maynard Food Pantry serves residents of Maynard, Acton, Stow and Sudbury. Maynard Shoppers are welcome to shop two times/month and out-of-town residents are welcome to shop one time monthly. The Maynard Food Pantry also provides Thanksgiving and Holiday dinner baskets for our shoppers.

Minuteman Senior Services is an Aging Services Access Point (ASAP) serving communities in the MetroWest Boston area. ASAPs operate under a state contract to coordinate and deliver a wide range of services to senior citizens in their regions.

SNAP offers nutrition assistance to millions of eligible, low-income individuals and families and provides economic benefits to communities. SNAP is the largest program in the domestic hunger safety net. The Food and Nutrition Service works with State agencies, nutrition educators, and neighborhood and faith-based organizations to ensure that those eligible for nutrition assistance can make informed decisions about applying for the program and can access benefits. FNS also works with State partners and the retail community to improve program administration and ensure program integrity.

Commonwealth Care Alliance serves Massachusetts "dual eligible" population of citizens eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. CCA provides care for elders and those with disabilities. CCA builds a statewide network of primary care practices and a safety net of human service organizations, independent living centers, and community-based organizations to serve the dual-eligible population.

For seniors who live alone and cannot prepare food for themselves. Volunteers deliver meals and often can provide some social stimulation. Recipients must be at least 60 years old. Services can be for a short period, such as recovery from surgery, or for an indefinite period. Meals are federally subsidized under the Older Americans Act.
