SNAP is the largest program in the domestic hunger safety net. The Council on Aging serves Weston residents over 60 years of age, providing services, referrals, and information resources on a wide variety of topics. Social opportunities, educational experiences, financial counseling resources, transportation, therapeutic needs, and other opportunities fall within the Council's scope. The COA focuses its efforts on issues of health and health insurance, in-home assistance and housing, taxes and legal matters. The COA provides free transportation to medical appointments and fuel assistance, among other services including a food pantry. Over 200 volunteers support the Town staff and the COA. The COA is located in the Community Center and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.
